Black Music Month Celebration

You won’t want to miss what we have in store for you on Thursday, June 5 in celebration of Black Music Month! Please help us welcome Dr. Eugene White and the Singing Trojans of Ribault Senior High School All-State Gospel Chorus.

The 25-40 member chorus has performed at Carnegie Hall, Disney World,  the annual multicultural World of Nations festival, and during the Bob Hayes Super Bowl Celebration as well as Orlando Magic and Jacksonville Jaguars games. Our nonprofit event partners will be The Sircle and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Mid-Florida.

 Admission is $5 for members, $10 for nonmembers and children 9 and under are FREE. Doors open at 5 p.m. There will be two different musical performances, the first at 6 p.m. and the second at 7:30 p.m. Family-friendly ala carte offerings, as well as non-alcoholic beverages, will be provided by Cool Blue Burrito (cash only).

Don’t forget, your After Hours admission is an all-access pass to the museum, so be sure and check out the permanent collections galleries!

Our Black Music celebration concludes the After Hours series for the season. Check back to learn what’s planned for 2008-2009.
