The Studio is the Appleton Museum of Art’s energetic group of young professionals, artists, and art enthusiasts who have a passion for art, culture, and design. The Appleton offers The Studio members unique and interactive programming, specifically designed for ages 21-39.

    2014 Biennial

    Uncorked!

    Printmaking and Pinot Edition

    Thursday, September 18

    6-8 p.m.

    Explore the art of relief printing with The Studio! Learn the history oand techniques behind relief printing, get an up-close look at some of the Appleton's rarely-seen prints, using them as inspiration to create your own relief prints. Each participant will leave with several completed prints.

    This event is for studio members only and their guests. Materials fee includes paper, ink and printmaking block; extra paper and ink will be sent home with each participant. Complimentary wine and snacks will be served.

    $15 Materials Fee for Studio members, $20 Materials Fee for guests

    Please RSVP by the 15th here with your name and the names of any guests you will be bringing. Materials fee is due prior to workshop.


    2014 Biennial

    Pumpkin Carving Party

    October 23, 2014

    5:30-8 p.m.

    Join The Studio for a pumpkin carving party! Bring your own pumpkin and we'll provide the carving utensils, hot cider and other fall-inspired refreshments. Museum staff and educators will be on-hand for assistance; some stencils will be available. Pumpkins completed by 7:30 p.m. will be judged by a guest juror and prizes will be given to the winners of various categories.

     

    This event is for ages 18+ and is hosted by The Studio, the museum's young members group.

    This event is FREE for The Studio members. $5 for museum members and $10 for nonmembers.
