The exhibit features designer gowns worn by Princess Diana and personal mementos that offer a rare glimpse into the public and private life of one of the most beloved and remarkable icons of the 20th century.
Through a partnership with the Munroe Foundation and The Villages Regional Hospital Foundation, “Dresses for a Cause” also honors the late princess’ humanitarian efforts by raising funds to support breast cancer initiatives in Central Florida.
The exhibition showcases several of the gowns auctioned by the princess for charity at Christie’s in New York just weeks before her death in August 1997.
In addition to the exhibition, planned events include a gala on the eve of the opening as well as visits by Nigel Arch, director of Kensington Palace, and Darren McGrady, author and Princess Diana’s personal chef.
