2019 Schedule

After School

This multisensory program introduces ages 2–5 to the Appleton. Each session starts with a brief visit to the galleries to examine a work of art, and then to the ARTSpace for a corresponding art activity. Children must have at least one adult with them at all times.

After School

Six-week classes for ages 7–12, each focusing on a different medium. Choose the session of your choice, then the day that fits your schedule. All materials are included.

Session 3: Clay All the Way Wednesdays, January 9–February 13, 3:30–5 p.m.
or Saturdays, January 12–February 16, 10:30 a.m.–noon

Session 4: Drawing Wednesdays, February 27–April 3, 3:30–5 p.m.
or Saturdays, March 2–April 6, 10:30 a.m.–noon

Session 5: Painting (three weeks) Wednesdays, April 17–May 1, 3:30–5 p.m.
or Saturdays, April 20–May 4, 10:30 a.m.–noon

Appleton Members: $80 ea. for sessions 1–4; $40 for session 5, or bundle all five sessions for $320.

This program is for the tweens and teens, featuring age-appropriate art projects for ages 12+ across a variety of themes and mediums. All materials are included.

First Saturday

Visit the ARTSpace on First Saturdays for artist-themed art making projects that are appropriate for children ages 4 and older; accompanying adults are welcome to participate.

Half Day Happening

Half-day Happenings are a perfect way to spend Marion County Public School Early Release Days — and a great way to discover the Appleton! Pick up an activity sheet at the front desk, enjoy the exhibitions, then visit the ARTSpace for a fun, art-making experience.

Open to Everyone!

The ARTSpace is designed to engage adults and children in hands-on art experiences through colorful activity stations and projects that relate to the understanding of art. Make a mosaic with magnets, build with Lego® or draw on our glass wall — there's something for every age and ability!

ARTSpace Hours:
Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sundays, noon–5 p.m.
