We are now accepting enrollments for another exciting Summer Art Camp! This year, we're offering 14 different camps for ages 4+ from June-July 2016.

Daniel and Mary B. Kraus ARTSpace
Open to Everyone!
Daniel M. and Mary B. Kraus’ generous gift to the Appleton has enabled us to open the ARTSpace to the community. The ARTSpace is designed to engage adults and children in hands-on art experiences through colorful activity stations and projects that relate to the understanding of art. Make a mosaic with magnets, build with Lego® or draw on our glass wall.
ARTSpace Hours: Tuesday-Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
and Sunday: Noon-5 p.m.

Every First Saturday, September-May
Have family fun in the Appleton's ARTSpace! Join us on the first Saturday of each month from 1-3 p.m. for age-appropriate art making for children ages 4 and older. Adults are welcome to participate. Each First Saturday art activity will focus on a different artist. Free for members and children; included in the cost of admission for adult nonmembers. No registration required.

On Marion County Public School Early Release Days
Half-day Happenings are a perfect way to spend Marion County Public School Early Release Days — and a great way to discover the Appleton! Pick up an "assignment" at the front desk, enjoy the exhibitions, then visit the ARTSpace for a fun, hands-on art-making experience. Free for members and children; included in the cost of admission for adult nonmembers. No registration required.

After School Explorations
Tuesdays, 3-4:30 p.m.
After-school Explorations are five-week sessions for ages 7-12, each focusing on a different medium and theme. Cost per five-week session is $75 for Appleton members; $100 for nonmembers.
After-School Explorations will resume in Fall 2016.
Bring a group of friends, celebrate a birthday or host a team-building workshop. The education staff will work with you to provide a creative, hands-on experience that is appropriate for any occassion. children's themed birthdays include printable party invitations and ARTY Party bags. ARTy Party Themes
Bridewood Birthday: Learn about Mr. Appleton, his Bridlewood Farm and his love of horses by viewing the horse painting he purchased for the museum. Gallop back to the ARTSpace to create your own horse picture using collage and paint.
Travel to Asia: View some of the Appleton's Asian art and then create an Asian-inspired piece in the ARTSpace. Do you like dragons, a painted fan or a screen? Choose one for your art experience.
Build-A-Bot: Build a what? Drawing from artwork in the Appleton's galleries, children will have an inventive time assembling a robot using a variety of materials. Each child will take home their own standing robot.
Make a Mask: Get inspired by some of the Appleton's unusual masks, then color and decorate your own to wear or hang on your wall.
Canvas Masterpiece: Put your canvas on an easel and paint like a master. Choose an artist you would like to learn about and get inspired. Paint an original worthy of framing! Choose ONE artist for your party: Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Jackson Pollock, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse or Georgia O'Keeffe.
