Free First Saturday

November 7 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Free

Visit the Appleton on November 7 for Free First Saturday! Admission to the museum is free from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Explore the permanent collection, special exhibitions, and enjoy family-friendly artmaking activities in the Artspace.

At 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the auditorium, see a screening of “Who the #$&% Is Jackson Pollock?” (PG-13, 2006, 1h 14m). This entertaining documentary tells the incredible true story of a 73-year-old former truck driver and her 15-year battle with the art-world elite to prove that the painting she bought at a thrift shop for $5 is a genuine Jackson Pollock worth millions. Free as part of Free First Saturday; no reservations needed to attend. Auditorium doors open at 10:30 a.m., and again at 1:30 p.m.

The Donut Express and Big Red’s Hot Dogs will be on-site throughout the day, along with CAMPUS USA Credit Union and LifeSouth Community Blood Centers.
