Museum founder Arthur I. Appleton’s love of horses is evident in the Appleton equine collection which is comprised of over sixty artworks. Highlights from the collection with works by artists such as Wilhelm Alexander Meyerheim and John Nost Sartorius are now on view on the first floor of the museum in honor of our “Horse Capital of the World.”
