Jeffrey Kronsnoble:Master of Allusion, A Life of Art

October 3, 2026 - March 21, 2027

Throughout his career of more than 60 years, Jeffrey Kronsnoble has frequently returned to a series he calls “boxes.” The title refers to his use of collaged images constructed and mounted in shadowboxes. He then paints these assemblages, often using a dry-brush oil technique, in hyperrealistic detail. Broken, torn, layered and obscured images and objects create fragmented, mysterious compositions. Partially hidden within them are recognizable images from news and popular media, family photographs and references to historical artworks. (more…)
